Secret Christmas Makes.

My sentiments to you exactly!
I wish you all a very happy and healthy new year.
And of course a very creative one!
Time to share my pre-Christmas secret makes, just so we're all up to date. We can't start the new year properly if we're all behind can we?
So firstly we have a simple Christmas Card for my parents. I find simple is usually best when it comes to Christmas cards.
A birthday card for my Dad.

Two pairs of fingerless mitts for a friend and another pair unfortunately not photographed for another dear friend. These for day wear...

and something a little more lacy for the evenings, lol. You can find the patterns here and here on Creativeyarns lovely blog.
Actually I really fancy a pair of the daytime ones in black for myself but since I've been going to crochet myself a new hat since last year and not done it, I don't think I'm likely to get around to mitts either, lol.

Something very special now.
One of my hand felted and machine embroidered handbags for my Aunty Michelles 50th birthday. Did I mention she was 50! lol.
If we have time I'll show a bit more of this bag in detail another day.
That's if you'd like to see it ;)

A second one this time with velvet trim this one was a Christmas gift. Wow my little fingers have been very busy this December.

And lastly a pretty housey key fob for a special neighbour who has lots of keys!
So you see I've not really been neglecting you, I've just been very productive. Honest!
And talking of productive I think I need to check up on my lovely '20 Minuters' before January is out and take stock of all their creativity over the last year.
Still such a lot to fit in.
love fi x

Oh Fi, we all know your fingers could never be idle....
I loooove that Christmas card, so simple but extremely effective and cute card for your Dad.
The fingerless mitts look great and I am mentally thinking about getting a pair underway now. If I'm lucky might have them finished by Winter, lol!!
Lucky Aunty Michelle what a beautiful bag, love purple and green but let's not mention 50th birthdays too loud...
Cute little key fob, good neighbours are hard to find......
Lovely makes, so what's the next project you've got underway? Happy stitching.....

What lovely makes, I espesh love your Dads birthday card and the lovely felted bag. I've loved being part of the 20 minuters and really feel it kept my crafting mojo going. I'm definitely going to keep it up in 2011. Happy New Year

Love the cards, and all those pressies my you have really been busy.
Sorry been a bit of a failure on the '20 minuters' front. I did start well, then I got mum.........would you make our wedding stationery? Well what could I say....I did sort of go back to it in October when I madly worked for the craft fair, 4hrs every afternoon. Does that count? I would love to join in again if you are doing it this year....
Happy New Year

Those bags are stunning - I am sure the recipients loved them I certainly would. The mittens too are good and I have been wanting a pattern for some for ages so will have no excuse now.

Love the simplicity of the lace Christmas card am sure your parents did too.

With the new year now here I must try and get back to some more crafting myself - if not 20 mins a day then at least something to show and tell!

Everything is so beautiful and of course we want to see more of your felted bags. I feel quite slow when I see how much you have made, not nearly so productive. I am thinking I must make some fingerless mitts for my night time job during winter, my hands get really cold.
Right at this min I am knitting some lavender to give to my mum for her birthday on Friday.

Wow Fi your felted bags are really stunning. What very special gifts they were.
This 20 minuter is still at it [when she is well enough]. I am still doing at least 20 minutes of creative crafting every day ....and loving it. Thanks for the shove in the right direction and the encouragement to keep at it. Hope 2011 finds at least a 20 minute spare slot for me to continue the trend :-)

I shall remain a 20 minuter for 2011 - craft fair at the end of Feb and then others during the spring/summer so I need to keep the needles/machine busy :)

Happy New Year. Love your makes.

Happy New Year to you, but goodness me, where do you find the time?! I love the Christmas card and the bag, but the key fob best of all. There's no way I'd have had time to make that lot in the run-up to Christmas.

Oh I do so like your bags, both these two and the little shopper below. I just can't settle to anything at the moment but I do take inspiration and a lift from you! Thank you.

The felted bag must have been adored, it's absolutely beautiful. I also love your very different spring shopper.

I used to pop by here and then in the madness that is daily life I realised I've missed so much that you've done. The few posts I flicked through show some gorgeous makes. Love your bunnies bums in the air as if playing hide and seek too.
