Greeting Cards Available!

GREETINGS CARDS SOLD OUT. 
Hello my lovelies. Here are my new greeting cards as promised.

From left to right, top row - Field Mouse,  Boxing Hares,  Mr Fox,  Castle Bolton Gardens.

From left to right, bottom row - Jack Russell,  Single Hare,  Garden Wall,  Bimbi's Bees.

All cards are blank inside and below is a picture of the reverse. Each comes with a plain white envelope.

They cost £2.50 each or choose 5 for £10. 

Post and packaging is £1 for up to 5 cards.

Please email me at fiona@marmaladerose.co.uk if you are interested stating clearly which cards you would like and the quantity. I will send you a Paypal invoice for the total. You don't need a Paypal account to pay by Paypal, just a debit or credit card.

I hope thats everything but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to email me, you know I'm quite chatty, lol. 

Next time we'll be catching up with our old friend Gilbert the Gnome. That's right, he's back!

Yarndale is a commin!

I've a few lovelies who are not going to Yarndale asking if they can purchase greetings cards online. Yes you can, I'll photograph them so that you can see them properly on my next post (Sunday 8th) and you can email me if you would like some. More details to follow.

 Look! Look! It's arrived! This is my greeting card order in preparation for Yarndale. Isn't it exciting!

 Eight different designs made from photos of my felt work. I know I'm biased but they are luuuverly! I'm very chuffed with them. Can you tell!

While I was about it I had some business cards made too! Just too scrummy for words really. And yes! That is a MarmaladeRose phone cover casually laid next to them, lol. That was my belated birthday present from my daughter, my very own artwork on the back of my phone! I'm almost giddy with joy! teehee! 

 Well there is no escaping it, only 3 weeks to Yarndale, panic, PANIC! This is where it will all take place, Skipton Auction Mart. It's HUGE!

 If I've got my map the right way up, I think this is where I'll be...in the middle pen up against that wall. I'm standing on an overhead walkway to take this photo so I shouldn't be too difficult to find if you want to come and say hello. Please come and say hello. My lovely friend 'Madbird' will be in the pen next to me so please say hello to her too! 

Now any suggestions for attaching a temporary display to a breeze block wall will be gratefully received! 

Goodness knows what we're going to do!

Jack Russell Terrier in Wool.

 I thought you might like to meet my little woolly friend...

 This is a first for me, NO embroidery or embellishment!

 Nope, not a single thread!

 Just plain old felting.

Maybe it's true what they say..."Less is more!"

As usual, wet felted wool, machine embroidered and finished with a little hand embroidery.

Mr Fox will be accompanying me to Yarndale next month before being released for sale.

All finished! Well my part is anyway. I've teased, tweaked and trimmed. 

Sprinkled, rubbed and rolled.

Rinsed, stretched and dried.

 Stabbed, tufted and stitched.

 Phew!

 Nearly forgot, I've dyed too!

 Now it just needs framing! I think that'll have to wait until after Yarndale, I can't risk it not being ready in time. 

I don't think anyone will mind seeing it in the raw.

Hello all, I'm back from my special anniversary holiday and very special it was too!

 The weather was hot, hot, hot! It was like being abroad but better because we were in beautiful old Blighty. I won't bore you with all of my holiday snaps, there are quite a few. 

I'll just give you the 'essence' of holiday.

 Enjoying pink thatched cottages on the seafront.

 Lots of sunbathing and sand.

Hexy Lovin hmmm!

Hmmm...what can I say, I'm just a little in love. 

The words crochet, granny and hexy's can only mean one thing...lots of yummyness.

 It started like this. Just a few crochet circles in juicy colours.

 Which soon and rather pleasurably multiplied. It's just a shame stitching in the 294 ends isn't quite as pleasurable. 

 I kind of designed this as I went along, crocheting a bit and frogging a bit to see what worked best. This technique was employed to it's utmost with the handles.

 I added a plain edging to keep any stretch to a minimum and just to finish them off neatly.

 I didn't want to just stitch the handles on, I wanted to do something a little bit different, lets call it a design feature. lol. Mind you... don't ask me what I did, I was just winging it at the time but it seemed to work out okay! I suppose that's what being creative is all about.

 I actually intended this bag for me. 

 So I totally indulged myself with the a beautiful lining fabric.

 I looks a bit Cath Kidston-ish. I even put a zip pocket in, my first ever YIPPETY-DO!

Unfortunately, needs must and all that, so my new 'baby' is sitting in the MarmaladeRose Etsy shop waiting for someone to love it as much as I do. sniff, sniff.

Oh well maybe I'll start another one for me while I'm away on holiday. Yes the H word! Excitement! 

There hasn't been the H word around here for quite a few years.

But Wonderful Man and I are having a little holiday to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary so if I don't manage to slip another post in before we go away you know why.
