Please check up on me.

Hi there. Just checking in with my daily sewing for the last 2 days.
Can't have you thinking I've not done any.

Yesterday was the little bag and today was the big embroidered bag. I think there is too much check fabric on the big bag. It would look much better with half as much check fabric, but that's exactly what these sewing sessions are for.

Learning and developing ideas.

And just to make you smile... a photo of someone taking their cow for a walk.
.
Never a dull day. Lol!

.

Maybe next time I need to reveal who's joining me in my New Years Resolution to do a little crafting every day. I'm sure they would like your support too.

Anybody else fancy joining us?

I think it's great that you are accomplishing so much, just goes to show that even just a little bit of time can accomplish much. Beautiful bags, I love the fabric from the small one. Cow walking, I love it.

Good job with keeping up with your resolution. I love the embroidered bag! These could be called "reticules" couldn't they? Isn't that what the old fashioned girls used to call these sort of cute drawstring bags? Do you have any practical uses for these bags, or are they just for the fun of making and creating?

It's great to see that you have been working away. Very cute. Love the cow out for a walk, we don't see that around here.

The big bag is rather lovely and the embroidered top very special. Are you recycling the top part from elsewhere ? If so it is a very good idea not to let the lovely embroidery go to waste.

Well done with the second bag! I agree that a narrower strip of the check might look nicer and the proportions better but I love it anyway. I am still with you and have done my 20 minutes on my crazy piece - I'll show you later. Thanks for sharing such a great idea.

Like you I have been crafting everyday too! I will show and tell later today! My computer is in a room where there is NOT much heating so shawls and quilts are needed before embarking on posting a blog, so I take a quick look at other peoples blogs and go again! Does finishing off unfinished projects count too? I DO need encouragement tooooo pleeeease......

Oh, I love this one! And I love the snow....just to look at, I know. We are heading for 43 degrees celsius and fire warnings here in the Dandenongs (please, no, not again, all on tenterhooks)tomorrow, and I'm heading back to work...but so far this year am managing to make at least one or two Summer Garden derived crochet squares a day (thank you, Lucy!), aiming for enough for three single blankets before Christmas, along with other mostly crocheted bits and pieces. Hoping to photograph (badly - camera needs updating) soon.

Thank you for a brilliant idea, and love everything you make!

I love the bags, it's great to recycle old embroidery so it gets enjoyed all over again.

The embroidered drawstring bag is really pretty. Perhaps too much check but I'm not convinced ;-)

I finally made a bunny last night - not a patch on yours but at least it looks a bit like one.

My resolution is to take a photo every day.. have already failed on a couple of days, but that's no reason to give up altogether!
I'd love to do more sewing though.

And I've always wanted a reticule, if that is what they're called!

Thanks for the link to the bag, Fi - am just going to sign off and make one. If it works I shall post it on tomorrow. Looks very well organised. Keep warm.

I hope to do a least a little knitting or crochet each day. It's good for the soul! :)

That is so pretty .... I haven't done any sewing today after my mammoth session finishing the quilt yesterday. I will however be getting out the knitting needles and making a pair of mittens all for me later when AR and Larkrise are on the TV. A perfect Sunday evening. x

I always try to do a bit of making and creating every day, but sometimes it is just a few rows of knitting. Your little bags are lovely - and I love the photo of the cow on walkabout, too!
