Hens-a-Helping.

Hello once again from beautiful Yorkshire. I love this view. When I see this view I relax as it means our journey is almost over and our little village is only a couple of 'bends' away.
Today I wanted share a bit of Springtime sunshine with you and see who'd been helping out in the garden. Yes today the stars of the show have to be our hens!
They're very conscientious and hard working, helping to turn over the soil in the veg beds.
They think nothing of giving the shed the once over to make sure all is in order.
Whilst all the time putting others needs before their own. This is Cluck who has very kindly put her dust bathing in damp mud on hold to spend some quality time with Wonderful Man and make sure he's not over doing it in the garden.

Here she is having a little cuddle. It's a good job he doesn't mind a bit of muck! Grubby, muddy hen.
Times up! That's enough. Must get back to work! Now just for that tricky dismount...
 Whoops! lol.
As for me...well I was busy too. More pretty bunnies taking shape.
These two are now somewhere deep in the USA.
.
I haven't forgotten my little giveaway. I still haven't decided what it will be yet. Easter is fast approaching though so that just might make up my mind for me.
till next time
love fi x

What a lovely visit I had today. The clucking and scratching and pecking was music to my ears.

You live in such a gorgeous part of Yorkshire, I am very envious! Especially jealous that you keep chickens, I would love some but we have no room.

Gorgeous views. When I was in my early 20's and first moved "down suth" I couldn't watch James Herriot because it made me too homesick! I still think that the Dales are the most beautiful place and love seeing your photos of them (and the Bunnies are very impressive too - as usual)

Hello from Michigan. I recently discovered your very lovely blog. I love all your stitching but I especially LOVE your felted stitching Landscapes. I loved reading about your hens clucking and pecking about. They made me smile. I think you must live in the most beautiful place. Hugs Judy

It's always nice to have some feathered friends to help in the garden. Their eyesight is so good they can spot a worm at ten paces.......the worms and creepy crawlies don't stand a chance.

Looks like some lovely weather happening over there Fi........
Your bunnies are gorgeous in their floral outfits, perfect for Spring.

Oh to have helpful hens like yours.
Mine are more destructive than helpful, scratching up my snowdrop bulbs among other things. I've spent a lot of today shooing them back into the field.

That is one of my favourite views too Fiona. Having done Geography A level I look on it as a classic example of a meander. The other week the whole of that valley was flooded and it looked spectacular. Two hours later it had emptied apart from the odd lake here and there.
Love those bunnies - glad you have started making them again.

You certainly live in a very beautiful part of the world. I have been watching the Ade Edmondson programme and really enjoying it. My grandparents came from your neck of the woods and I have never visited myself. Must put that right one day. Our henny pennys have just come back into lay recently and there is nothing like fresh eggs for breakfast. dev x

I did have a giggle at cluck 'dismounting' not the most elegant, hehe. I used to love the sound of our hens scratching around with their little 'purring' noises.
