A Winter Wonderland.

(The view from the attic window. Click to make bigger.)
Hello.
I've just popped in to say thank you for all of you good wishes for my Folksy shop and a whopping thank you for your help on the bead front.
To show my appreciation I donned my wellies and woolly hat and set off to take some photos of the snow especially for you.
I hope you enjoy them while you're cosy indoors!
(we've got another dollop of snow forcast for this afternoon!)

Please check up on me.

Hi there. Just checking in with my daily sewing for the last 2 days.
Can't have you thinking I've not done any.

Yesterday was the little bag and today was the big embroidered bag. I think there is too much check fabric on the big bag. It would look much better with half as much check fabric, but that's exactly what these sewing sessions are for.

Learning and developing ideas.

And just to make you smile... a photo of someone taking their cow for a walk.
.
Never a dull day. Lol!

.

Maybe next time I need to reveal who's joining me in my New Years Resolution to do a little crafting every day. I'm sure they would like your support too.

Anybody else fancy joining us?

Hello Fresh New Year

Hello and Happy New Year.
Yes the Christmas festivities are over and done with and a lovely time was had by all.
The new year has arrived and I feel very positive. I'm certainly looking forward to 2010 and hoping for the best.
.
The photos below are from New Years Day. A brisk bracing walk in the snow.
We had guests staying over for new year

which made it all the more fun.

Plenty of snowy hills for sledging here in the North.
This one was the teens choice. Maybe it was the risk of ending up in the stream at the bottom that gave it the edge!

Plenty of squeeze gates too. So named because they are veeeeery narrow and you have to squeeze through them. The idea being that sheep don't do squeezing.

Neither does our guests dog!

A rather large Golden Doodle!
Hmmm! One too many treats me thinks.

Aaaaah....that's more like it.

Travel in style.

And today,

Still lots of the white stuff.
I hope you'll pop back now and again throughout 2010.
I'd love to hear from you.
Till next time.
