Goodbye Gilbert, from snow to sunshine.

Goodbye Gilbert...safe journey my little cheeky chap.
My little felted gnome has been cut up, stitched up and wrapped up...
and is now on his way to Australia.

I wonder what he'll see at the other end of his journey? I guess it won't be snow though!

Nifty post and that lovely little fellow will bring a smile in the land Down Under!
Love to see where parcels gets posted (I imagine my brooches this way now). What's next on your list to do?
Note to myself: I must put Yorkshire down on our next trip home!
Keep warm and toasty!

I am certainly looking forward to receiving him. Your snowy area does look appealing when we are melting over here. Gilbert will have to send you a photo for a comparison. Many thanks for your beautiful work. Hilary

Okay. I'm confused. You CUT Gilbert from the purse and then mailed Gilbert but not the purse????? Did I miss something?

I wonder if he will end up anywhere near me?

I so admire your work Fi, you're an amazing felter.
Not only that , but you do such a great job making them into beautiful objects.
I sort of cringed a bit when I saw the scissors cutting into it - no room for mistakes there!
Again, beautiful images of the village in snow, my husband enjoyed looking at them too.

cheers
Fi

Gorgeous bag, I love Gilbert. He will either see floods or fires depending where his big journey takes him. We are being battered both ends of Australia, down my way we have bush fires going mad and out of control and up in Queensland it is flooding...oh happy days, and over your way lots of snow. :)

Wow that bag is fantastic Fi and I love the toadstool on the back. I hung my little toadstool and robin with pride this year on my tree. You could do those toadstools for the Spring and Summer to sell. I am at Gayle Mill next Wednesday for a day with my job. Like Noelle I am wondering what is next!

That is brilliant. He looks almost real. I have wanted to try felting for a long time. I need guidance though. You are very talented. I have bought a lovely felted Lakeland Dog brooch recently. There is something special about felting. Cx
