Not one but two new bags to share with you today!
I had such fun designing and making these two beauties.
And yes, I do feel justified calling them 'beauties' lol.
And yes, I do feel justified calling them 'beauties' lol.
Lovely fabrics
Pretty vintage buttons
Pretty vintage buttons
Special stitches
Pretty trims
Lots of machine embroidery (this is the back, isn't it wonderful! It's a secret that only you and I have seen, safely hidden behind the pretty lining fabric now)
Here's the front.
And the front of the second bag.
I do like to hand finish. It makes all the difference, much neater, a way of adding a little bit of love and care to each project.

Beautiful ,Beautiful Bags !!!
I would rather have one of your lovely creations than a mass produced "designer label" bag any day !!
Gosh Fi you are so talented, you have inspired me since finding your blog, I am now making a book with fabric covers that I will embellish with lace and beads and embroidery. Thank you I love what you make. I want to start felting now!!
Oh I love them,,,you do such beautiful work...I am sure they will sell fast..
What a difference changing the placement of the stripes makes! These little beauties are too gorgeous. Maybe you could do some of the machine embroidery one day and feature the back. Would look great on a shodowy sort of tweed. Cherrie
WOW, WOW and WOW. Absoluely beautiful.
They are very special beauties...I back embroidery..wow..I'd have to leave that on show, it was so neat and pretty in itself!!
I'm sure they won't stay in the shop long.
Take care
Very cute!
As always such wonderful creations. I wouldn't want to hide that machine embroidery behind the lining it looks great! They will sell like the proverbial hotcakes I am sure and being plaid and chintz will be suitable for summer or winter use - really fab!

Fiona! These are just gorgeous! I feel very honoured that you left such an encouraging comment on my little blog after seeing these this morning. I love everything about them and it is evident that you had a blast making them :0)
Every time I make a bag each one is very personal to me, like part of my family, and I always wonder where it will go, who will love it, what adventures it will have. I am sure you feel exactly the same.
Fantastic!

Wow - talk about inspirational - if they don't encourage folk to think "outside the box", nothing will. So very creative - gorgeous colours and fab combination of different textures/fabrics.
Wow what beauties indeed! You are so talented.
We were in Hawes yester day - wish I had looked in Karen's shop - those bags are lovely Fi.
Lovely bags!
Beauties indeed! They are fabulous, Rosie. Methinks you have been doing more that 20 mins a day!!

Wow - beautiful bags, lovely work. The finishing is fab and the colours gorgeous.
Hey Fi, lovely bags, you certainly have an eye for putting fabric, trims and other bits and pieces together.
Better crank up the sewing machine Karen will be needing some more for the shop, these two will fly out the door.
Hi, have been dipping into your blog for a while now, having been introduced to you by my good friend Linda at the Vintage Heart.Love your work!!
But these two new bags are out of this world... do you do mail order? I live in Northalllerton, and would absolutly adore one of them. Here's hoping... Wendy x
I know you've had lots of comments already, but I just wanted to add that I think the bags are beautiful.
Arm candy or what !! They are truly gorgeous and so original ... a lot of love and effort was definitely put into those. Perfect. x

Hi. I just stumbled on your blog. It's lovely. Great bags! I know I'm a little late to the party but I'd love to join 20 minutes. It sounds like just the incentive I need. I'll understand if I'm too late. Lynda xx
Lovely bags as usual. All your stuff is lovely.
Cheers
Helen
They are fantastic, Fi. The attention to detail is wonderful and the back is just as neat as the front. Very sensible putting a good length on the key fob, as my Mother would say "designed by a woman". I'm sure they'll be snatched up in no time at all.
