Vintage Embroidered Patchwork Cushions.

Hello! I hope you don't mind MORE embroidered patchwork. You've given me such wonderful feedback about it over the last couple of posts.
I hope its not getting boring?
This is the pretty patchwork cushion that I have just posted off to Jane. I do hope she is happy with it when it arrives. This piece of embroidered linen lent itself perfectly to stripes.

Here is the back. I like to use as much of the embroidery as possible, so if I can put some on the back as well as the front, all the better. I must admit it looked rather nice sitting on my guest bed waiting to be posted. I became rather attached to it.

 MORE embroidered patchwork.

I really enjoyed making this cushion. So much so that...

I made another one. Luckily I managed to cut up the linen so that I had almost identical flowers and foliage left over to make the second one.
So now they are both snuggled up together.

Oh and the back! Yes a little bit of embroidery here too.

Till next time, love Fi x

Beautiful Fi. I really think you have done a wonderful thing with these embroideries. I really love the cushions so much. I can see them sitting on a little vintage sofa in one of those re-vamped ancient caravans!

Never afor being you. It is why we keep coming back to see such beauty including the waterfall. I never tire of the beauty around me either, be it the love of our pups or the songs of birds in the big tree out the back. Cherrie

Beautiful cushions you are very talented. You have just given me an idea...seeing as I have only found one embroidered linen so far, I could make some of my own for cutting up!! No, not by hand (god forbid)I have an embroidery sewing machine, with the right pattern, it might just work...

How beautiful they all are! I had a go at something similar but was nothing like as successful with mine - how I envy you your ability.

Love your blog and no I wouldn't ever get bored with seeing your creations.

I love them!
You are so brave though, I can't actually bring myself to cut the embroidered cloths I find. I just either buy them and use them as table cloths or leave them on the shelf in the antiques/junk shop!

Just discovered your blog and what a delightful feast for the eyes it is!! So many lovely, gorgeous things made by you. I'd love to know how you made that decision to 'escape to the country'. It is something I am hankering after more and more now the children have grown up.
Thanks for all you are sharing on your blog.

I just discovered your blog today, August 8, and I simply love it. I have been embroidering like mad for several weeks. It's an art I learned as a little girl and have not done much since then as I love to make quilts and that takes all my time. Your blog is beautiful. You English ladies have the most beautiful blogs in blogsville.

How pretty! I'm sure someone will come along and love them to pieces! It looks like a wonderful shop too. The touch of embroidery on the back of the pillows is just 'icing on the cake' making them reversible and oh so special.

You have to read my "of all the blogs in all the world" post. It's here - http://annelee55.blogspot.com/2009/08/of-all-blogs-in-all-world.html

How cool is that?
