Gilbert the Gnome is back!

 Happy New Year all!
To be honest, I'm always quite pleased when it's all over and done with, lol. I like to get back to normal and get on with the new year. I think I'm turning into a grumpy old woman, lol. Actually I'm a bit under the weather at the mo so maybe that's why I'm grumpy. One person who isn't grumpy though is Gilbert the Gnome! He seems to be on top form at the moment, giving you all a cheeky wink! Eye, eye!
There's a bit of a twinkle in his eye too....I wonder what he's been up to? Maybe we'll never know. We'll have to wait until I've finished needle felting him. I think he's just excited at meeting Hilary who commissioned him. I've told him though...if he's too cheeky she may not want him and then he'll be a homeless gnome!
Right I think I've left him long enough, I better get back up to the attic and see what he's up to!

Love Fi x

Oh what a great character!
I'm with you Fee, glad the festive season is over, especially as heating failed and I was also feeling 'off it'. I'm fit now and hope you are soon better too.

Oh he is absolutely gorgeous and I expect he will be very happy in his new home.
Hope you are feeling better. I think I am becoming grumpy about Christmas too, I don't know why it is only a bank holiday just like the other five we have!

I have not long started following your blog, but I'm with you about this time of year - I'm always glad when it's over and I can get back to normal. Love the work you do and Gilbert of course. Hope you will be feeling 100% very soon :)

Slightly naughty and cute!
Is needle-felting something that can be done one-handed without too much use of the other? I have just been told that my days of knitting and crochet, and most other things I do are more or less done with. I can do little bits now and then, but with lots of rest in between, but am going mad sitting with idle hands and now on the look out for crafts I can do, even learn from new, that aren't the same as knitting and crochet, will not put the same strain on tendons, joints.
Any ideas?

Hi Fiona, I just love Gilbert, he is wonderful. And I was lucky enough to have some needle felting supplies for xmas, this is a new craft for me - I guess practice makes perfect !! just basic hearts for me so far.

p.s all seems quiet in marmaladerose blogland at the mo - I'm wondering - have you ran off with the lovely Gilbert LOL
