Gosh! I really don't know where the time is going to at the moment. I'm finding it really difficult to visit as many of your scrummy blogs as I would like, and I do hate to miss anything. You're all being so productive now you're 20 Minuters, I could really do with an extra day in the week just for blog reading! Do you think anyone would notice if we made it an 8 day week instead of 7!
If you remember the post before last I promised you some dangley, pointy, crochet goodness. Well here it is... no not the one above. That triangle was made following the only triangle pattern I could find in a book and to honest it didn't cut the mustard! No sireeee! Not good enough for my bloggy friends.
So...
I designed my own.
Much prettier don't you think?

And soon one became three.
Actually I'm telling a little porky there, it wasn't soon at all. No, they took a jolly long time, much longer than I thought they would. Maybe I'm just slow with the old hook but these babies took at least 4o minutes each!
And I won't tell you how long the joining chain took because some naughty words might slip out just like they did while I was making it. Talk about fiddly!
But it was all worth it in the end.
I just need to aquire some brighter colours, like the ones below.
These are a little smaller and I 've given them a pretty picot edge.

Gosh I must dash! Parent's evening tonight! I really do hate it and in my 12 years experience of it there never was a bigger waste of everyones time! (OO! I bet that statement raises some comments!)
I might have to explain myself next time.
bye for now

Oh I love the crochet bunting.
I know what you mean about parents evening! Mine have long since left school but I remember them well it seemed like the teacher was saying exactly the same thing, "your child is doing well in class" bet they didn't even know who my child was! Just don't get me started!
Yours are so much better! They are lovely. I'll have to try to do one (or more...LOL). I like your colors too.

These are so pretty. Will you be posting a pattern?

Well done on the bunting...it's wonderful
Fabulous triangles and I completely agree with the "parents evening" statement!
Mr P never comes as its the wrong time of day and your in for 5 mins and out....
perhaps it will be different now she's at comprehensive... I remember when my mum and dad had to see each teacher that I had lessons with... do they still do that?

They look great. I agree with High school parents evenings. My daughter is'nt that clever but tries and is a likeable, good girl, so to the teachers, no problems really, finds maths hard, next!
i love the bunting - it looks fab! I agree with your comment on parents' evening - i never went to one that was worthwhile!

The triangles have turned out ever so well, great bunting!
Hi Fi,
Your triangles and bunting are fab. What a rubbish book that obviously is - it needs to employ you to write the patterns!

love the bunting
You may know by looking at my recent post that my crochet skills are totally inadequate but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate other people's and I do appreciate yours - gosh! Not only changing colours but a 3-sided figure - I can do very similar but only by accident you see! For some reason I looked for the recipe but didn't find them and even if I did would I be able to carry them out ...
PS Just because I found it funny, the word veryfication is BIONICKAL...
Now I know for sure .... I must learn how to crochet!!! love the bunting!(and I hate parent's
evening too)
Glad to see it is not just me that thinks this way about parents evening!
Love the garland, looks lovely.
You are so clever to figure it all out on your own! I'm having a giveaway on my blog, so be sure to stop by.
The crochet is amazing are you going to show us how it's done? Couldn't agree more about parents evenings, I remember being told once that the parents that turn up are not really the ones the teachers want to see!
The bunting is lovely. I think your colours are very effective as well. I'm not surprised you don't get round to all the 20 minuters, there's a lot! It's proved very popular and effective.
Am being taunted by crochet bunting on several blogs - not fair - have only just mastered knitted squares!
I love it and when you're bored with it I'll offer it a home ;)
Enjoy parents evening - we were at one earlier - big sons GCSE options.
So pretty! Well done on designing your own pattern :)
xx
Just Fab! Yes, please do post a pattern - I fancy having a go!

Pretty.
I have to agree I've yet to have been to a parents evening that has been productive. It's just a repeat of what's already been written on their report and if there was a problem one would hope the school would have got in touch with you before a parents evening where you get 5 minutes to fit a years worth of work into. :/
I love the colours in your bunting, it looks great. :)
Parents evenings are behind us now but I do remember how much time was wasted sitting in queues!

Still making progress

These are great!
They are soo pretty and I love the little picot edging. Parents evening? Hhhmmmm - as a parent, some good some bad. As a teacher it was good to meet the parents of the little ones who were brought to school each day by child minders!
I do love your crochet bunting, and yes, your design is much prettier. xxx
I just love your pointy, dangly crochet! Thanks for sharing.
I know what you mean re parents eves!
Love your bunting! I learnt to crochet in January and am totally addicted.
Love that colour scheme - reminds me of those wonderful Yorkshire Dales/Moors when the heather is in full bloom.
Hello!
Crochet bunting is just the best, and I like the colours and your pattern, so very pretty!
Im having a little giveaway on my blog starting tomorrow, so if you get a chance come visit me!

i love your 'not so colorful' triangles.
Love your bunting !!!! is the centre from Lucy's summer garden square ? It's so much prettier the traditional way to start a granny square don't you think . Great to see it used in another way !!!your colour choices are just perfect too:0)
Those are stunning, and I love the colouring on the first ones. If you could share the pattern, I'd be very grateful. You've got me desperate to get back to crochet again, but I really MUST carry on with my Devon x-stitch as it''s 3/4 done now.
P.S. When I saw you had joined the two triangles together, I thought, cor, that's a skimpy bikini top!
That is really cool looking, and your colors are just so pretty! Time has been flying by, and I am trying to devote a little of it and get caught up on visiting blogs!
Hi
How do I join the crafting for 20 minutes a day?

Your bunting is absolutely gorgeous, how I wish I could do that - well, any crochet actually!!

What lovely little triangles you have, my dear. Have you thought of making a blanket with them. Great colors, reminds me of a wine vineyard.
Hugs from a sunny beach today,

Hi Fiona,
I really like ur crochet triangles, u are clever.
I am still yet to have a go at the machine embroidery, so this can be on my list of "things i want to try".
Tracey
love your little crochet projects. will definately try the triangles . I'm an F.E lecturer and we have to have parents evenings three times a year ~~~~ pointless as only a handfull of parents turn and to be totally honest i don't blame them.xxxxxxx

I found your blog today while catching up on my blog reading and finding myself follwing links! I'm so glad I did. This crochet bunting is the most beautiful bunting I think I have ever seen. I love it. I make my own cloth bunting from vintage scraps of silk, but am just beginning to venture into the world of crochet and would love to be ablet o make some gorgeous butning like this. I'm off now to take a look around your blog. Sending smiles, Em x
