cleaning and getting your studio/guestroom ready for imminent visitors!
Yes I should have been tidying this mess.
Instead I was making a cushion cover from child #2 favourite old pair of pj's.
::
::
Here's what I did.
Measure your cushion pad, and cut the pajama top to exactly the same size.
Cut through both the back and front of your pj's.
Place the back and front of you pj's together right side facing.
Stitch around all four sides.
::
::
Undo a couple of buttons and turn right way out.
Tadaa! Finished!
Last and not least.....PANIC!
Guests arriving any minute!

Fabulous cushion, I am sure the'll understand that it was a matter of life or death to get the cushion cover finished! lol

Great idea....I have this vague notion...as I save my children's clothes...that I will make a memory quilt...but I think it's more realistic to focus on the "Memory Cushion"...also I love the crocheted blanket..is it still a WIP or finished ?It looks fantastic.

Great cushion and you could always tell your guests that you made it to honour their visit.
That is so lovely and to keep a favourite pair of PJ's forever what a wonderful idea. Hope you have a great time with your friends.

Excellent idea. I've just done something similar with a favourite cardigan!
Making cushions is far more important than tidying. goodness me do these visitors of yours not understand that? LOL :)
So simple and gets round the buttonhole issue, I can't do buttonholes on a sewing machine.
